Spicy Macha Grilled Cheese

Spicy Macha Grilled Cheese

We added Casa De Laurel Salsa Macha to this comfort classic.

This isn’t your average grilled cheese. The creamy cheese, crisp toasted bread, and a gentle kick of heat from Casa De Laurel Salsa Macha come together to make a sandwich that’s nostalgic, rich, and just bold enough to surprise you. Pair it with a bowl of tomato soup or enjoy it on its own. Perfect for rainy days…or just because.

Spicy Macha Grilled Cheese

Serves 1 to 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of sourdough or country-style bread

  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)

  • 1 tablespoon Casa De Laurel Salsa Macha (plus more for dipping)

  • 2 to 3 slices of cheese (like Oaxaca, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella)

  • Optional: thin slices of tomato or pickled jalapeños

Instructions:

  1. Prep the bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. On the other side of one slice, spread Casa De Laurel Salsa Macha.

  2. Assemble the sandwich
Place the cheese on top of the salsa macha side, adding tomato or jalapeños if desired. Close the sandwich with the other slice of bread, butter side facing out.

  3. Grill the sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.

  4. Serve hot
Slice in half and serve with extra Casa Macha on the side for dipping.

Why You’ll Love It

The richness of melted cheese and toasted bread is the perfect canvas for the bold, smoky heat of Casa De Laurel Salsa Macha. It’s comfort food with a little extra character.
